Wedding ceremonies at Vatulele are not merely 'show business' however. The vows are solemnized by a Fijian minister, Vatulele limits weddings to three a month to help keep the ceremony and focus on the couple as special as possible. All the guests are invited: they participate in champagne toasts, the traditional Kava ceremony, a native feast cooked in pits in the ground, and later enjoy the villagers' genuine ceremonial dances.

Wedding Date and Minimum Stay
The wedding service is usually held towards the end of the celebrants stay, however, the exact date itself can not be guaranteed due to availability of staff and Minister and subject to weather conditions. Requests for particular dates, however, will be taken into account and met, where possible. The resort is unable to conduct a weekend wedding, due to other commitments for choir and minister. A minimum stay of six nights is required for the celebrants.
